Linda Woolven is an oil painter from Toronto. She has a fine arts degree from York University. She spent much of her childhood growing up amongst the trees, lakes and rocks of Northern Ontario. Utilizing thick textures that are suggestive of reality without being abstract or literal, her landscapes in oil reveal her love for the land, while the character she finds in old buildings reveals her love of Canada and its architecture.
In addition to painting, Linda is a published poet, writer and cookbook author. Linda is also a master herbalist, acupuncturist and solulution focused counsellor. Her books, Smart Woman’s Guide to PMS and Pain-free Periods, The Vegetarian Passport Cookbook: Simple Vegetarian Dishes from Around the World, Healthy Herbs: Your Everyday Guide to Medicinal Herbs and Their Use, The Family Naturopoathic Encyclopedia and Sex & Fertility: Natural Solutions, and The All-New Vegetarian Passport can be viewed at her website (www.thenaturalpathnewsletter.com).
